10 levels! So Enlightenment does make a large difference in leveling. After 8 days of /played you can see there is a big level gap. The only difference is the monk does the enlightenment quests for monks (both at every 10th level and daily when not broken). They both have done the same amount of dailies as the other. Once a week or two past I ran both of them through the fishing and cooking dailies in Orgrimmar. I gave them the exact same heirlooms, and set them in Orgrimmar to gain rested exp. I started a Highmountain Tauren Druid and a Nighborne Elf Monk at the same time. The image to the left is a test I am doing. So how much of a difference can that make?

Simple, it's just better.įirst off monks can play DPS, healer and tank. If you are just wanting to hit max to get the Heritage Armor and nothing else - roll a monk.

Keep in mind that the stacks will likely be wiped with the launch of the full expansion in a month too. I'm afraid that we cannot get the stacks back. This will clear buffs such as the Enlightenment buff from monks.

With a new patch upgrading an expansion, class talents, abilities and skills get reset. Found this out the hard way with 8.0.1 prepatch. Be aware during patches and expansions that it will get reset on you. Tank, healing, and DPS Spec - specifically tank if you want to do dungeonsĪs a head's up for those of you who are saving up your Enlightenment buff to get a good 24 hours stack.Enlightenment does stack with heirloom exp while RaF bonus no longer does.Enlightenment buff that you can stack up to multiple hours (from a daily quest).So if you don't want a dozen monks on your main server you can level on others. Remember that you can level your Allied Race character on a new realm if you want. These are just suggestions on the easiest and/or fastest classes to level if your primary focus is to get in, level, and be done with it. To be clear you can play and level any class that is available to your allied race. These are the top 3 that I have found to level fairly fast and/or easy. These are the current Horde Allied Races that are currently playable or soon will be following the expansion or patch. Earn the Achievement The Mechagonian Threat.You will also need to finish the War Campaign.You need to complete the Lightforged Draenei scenario and earn Allied Races: Lightforged Draenei (Hidden Character Achievement).You must become exalted with Army of the Light.You need to complete the Void Elf scenario and earn Allied Races: Void Elf (Hidden Character Achievement).You need to complete You Are Now Prepared!.You must become exalted with Argussian Reach.You will need to have earned Ready for War.You will need to become exalted with 7th Legion.You must have the Battle for Azeroth expansion purchased.However, at this time there is no details of anything past the current 4 races. There has been discussion that Blizzard will release more Allied races in upcoming patches and expansions for us to play. These are the current Alliance Allied Races that are currently playable or soon will be following the expansion or patch. I wanted to get a base down so people could start using it to get started.
